The project involves the restoration, remodeling, and expansion of existing buildings and changing their function to a theater.
The building is a historical monument, consisting of two independent buildings: building C1 (ground floor) and building C2 (basement and ground floor).
Following the beneficiary’s requests, the buildings are being extended in height, resulting in a height of B+GF+4F and in plan.
Our team led the design of the structure, proposing solutions for the consolidation, restoration, and extension of the existing buildings, ensuring their integration into the new architectural concept.
We also carried out technical expertise and ensured the monitoring of the works through periodic inspections and measurements to track the behavior over time of the deep excavation and neighboring constructions.
Description
Building C1, the building facing the street, is a building with a partial basement and ground floor used for residential purposes. The load-bearing structure consists of simple non-confined masonry walls and a wooden roof structure. Building C2, the building at the rear of the plot, is a building with a semi-basement and ground floor used for residential purposes. The load-bearing structure of building C2 consists of simple non-confined masonry structural walls, floors, and wooden roof trusses.
