The construction of a new sports arena on the site of the Nicolae Dobrin Stadium was a necessity, as the stadium no longer met the safety requirements for hosting sporting events and competitions.
The stadium will be built to meet UEFA 4 classification requirements (maximum level) and will include training facilities for related sports (wrestling, boxing, judo, karate), office space, commercial space, public dining areas, and approximately 450 parking spaces.
