The investment is developed within the Horia Hulubei National Research and Development Institute for Nuclear Physics and Engineering in Măgurele and aims to create a specialized building, for advanced processes of manufacturing and finishing optics for high-power lasers.
The architectural solution proposes a simple main volume, a rectangular prism, with a surrounding low planted and encircled slope, intended to conceal outdoor equipment serving the production functions.
The building will house state-of-the-art equipment for manufacturing large mirrors, will be powered by unconventional energy sources and will have high energy efficiency and a low carbon footprint.
The ground floor has six ISO 7 clean rooms, accessed through three ISO 8 filters, designed for the manufacturing and finishing of optics for high-power lasers, while the upper floor houses offices and development laboratories.
