Since college I have practiced in the field of construction, a technical field that attracted me during high school. I started as a drawing technician, then as a structural design engineer, after completing my university studies. I chose to deepen my studies following master courses in Engineering and management of construction projects, having the desire to develop my knowledge of Construction Management along with coordination skills. During my master’s studies I also attended real estate appraisal courses, a field in which I practiced for a year and a half.
My career started in Constanța, a city where I also completed my university studies. However, the desire to develop my professional horizon motivated me to go to Bucharest. Thus, following a documentation on the design companies for existing constructions in Bucharest, I chose the leader of this field, Popp & Asociații, being impressed by the people and the complexity of the works done here. I have been part of the Popp & Asociații team since 2011. I worked close to Dragoș and Mădălin, I grew up in the company, meeting here real professionals, with values, with a penchant for innovation, with respect for the profession of design engineer.
In 2018, a reorganization process was started at the company level. Then came the idea of a separate Bidding-Contracting Department, which I now coordinate. The transition to the coordination of the department was a natural one, my activity within the company already targeting responsibilities related to bidding-contracting. The objectives of the department are the development and consolidation of procedures and tendering-contracting mechanisms through which to respond promptly to the needs of our customers and partners.
I recommend young engineers and not only to have confidence in their potential and to pursue a professional career within the Popp team. Here they will have the opportunity to meet specialists from whom they will be able to discover the secrets of the profession of structural design engineer. They will also be involved in large-scale work, and their professional path will always be guided by a mentor, a senior member of our team.
