I spent the first years after finishing my studies, following the family tradition, and in a mixed architecture-structure design office where I had managed to become the representative of the entire resistance department. However, the prospects available in that office were limited, and the opportunity to join a young team, led by Professor Popp, opened up new horizons for me, both professionally and personally.
The moment of transfer to Popp & Asociații was marked by the company’s debut period, a pioneering stage when every work represented a special technical challenge, and the experience gained in those years remains invaluable. In a short time, both me and the company experienced an exponential growth, the initial members forming the core of the company.
The Research and Development Department was born from the desire to obtain the highest possible level of knowledge and technical design practices applied by Popp and Associații, representing the technological peak of the company. At the same time, as the company strengthened its organizational principles and operating practices, the Research and Development department gained the mission to preserve and carry forward the original spirit of thinking ”out of the box” and intelligent solutions that have brought the company the leading position in the market.
Given the fact that the profile industry is in a continuous qualitative evolution, the need for such a department is obvious for maintaining a top position in the market, its benefits being indisputable in the long run. Moreover, the department has a high degree of sustainability by carrying out external research projects. In addition to the prestige and position brought by such projects, the experience and knowledge gained are advantageous for the entire team.
The research and development department facilitates the technological progress of the entire company, by implementing new techniques and increasingly advanced design processes, ensuring a continuous improvement of the technical and qualitative level of the works carried out within the company.
